Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 10149 is now On.
Microsoft has released another Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview 10149 ring recently.
Users who did not roll back to Windows 8.1 from 10080, so as to get Build 10136 will be upgraded to the new build i.e 10149 straightaway.
So What are the additions and Improvements in build 10149 that Windows has has included ? Microsoft has added a much in Windows PCs latest build 10147 and similarly it has added notable changes to Windows 10 Mobile preview 10149 and these addition and improvements include:
Web Experience Improvements:
> Microsoft Edge coming to existence with an address bar at the bottom the screen.
> The Websites can now be viewed in Mobile View and Desktop view.
Taking a step forward the OS company has included few UX Improvements which include:
> When new tiles are created on Homescreen they get blurry for the first time but with more refinement made to icons and tiles, this OS has become more responsive now.
Cortana Improvements:
> Cortana has come to a final stage, Now you can send Email with Cortana.
> Taking Cortana you can set up Quiet hours and Notebook.
Camera Improvements:
> The photo app has received an Update, and this updates of Photo App via Windows Store Beta improves performance and reliability.
> Phones with 1GB RAM can now have animated GIFs through the Photo App.
> Via Insider Hub i.e Insiders can text about their and feedback, Windows has now allowing users to use Back Flash into a flashlight.
> Photos that you from your Lumia Camera will directly get uploaded to OneDrive app.
And talking about fixes in Build 10149, Well they include:
> The Call + SMS filtering fix, which first reported as a bug in 10051 build.
> You can now receive notification for incoming message.
> Navigation bar will no longer be hidden.
> In the previous build 10136, few apps were reporting error messages when tried installing via the Windows Store Beta.
> Podcast will no be working without any bugs,
Even though Microsoft is fixing issues everytime, but still they need to take care of several other aspects before they release the final version.
We could sort few Issues in 10149 Build, so that Microsoft could just work upon those issues and fix them in their next build, Issues which are found in Build 10149 include:
> The colors of few apps are getting carried away, for example sometimes Outlook title bar looks Orange and sometimes their is no color itself, Well I couldn't if it was transparent title bar or White title bar.
> Issue with the game installation, Games which are bought on App store beta as full version are coming up as trial versions even though you have purchased them. This issue was upvoted in Insider hub.
> Issue with unlocking PIN , even though you enter PIN the phone doesn't get unlocked and lets you keep typing the PIN for several times. To fix this keep your phone on sitby mode.
> If you have setup Gmail account, the Messaging app might not work i.e both incoming and outgoing messages might not work. So to overcome this issue just reboot your phone.
> Windows 10 PC 10147 build has no Insider Hub, and similarly Windows 10 Insider Mobile preview 10149 will no longer be available, however you can add Insider Hub from App Store Beta.
> The very rare issue is few devices running on build 10136 will receive an 80091007 error. To fix this issue you can just rollback to Windows 8.1 and get a direct update to 10149, however the company has promised to take over responsible fix on this issue.
